New Options Housing Abstinence and Support Services provide drug and alcohol free environments for people with a history of substance misuse, who are at various stages of recovery from addiction.

By focusing not only on addiction and recovery but looking at the whole picture, we believe that lives can be repaired, re-built and improved.

New Options Housing Provide ‘The complete Package’

Support

The individual may need between 3 months to 2 years of abstinence and support services, depending on their progress and the stage of recovery they feel they are at. Progress is determined through outcome-focused support planning which enables the individual and the support worker to pinpoint current support requirements and develop strategies to work towards addressing needs in order to move forward.

Support also addresses future resettlement and access to accommodation within the social or private landlord sectors. The route taken will be the choice of the individual and takes into account their aspirations and the level of progress they make towards recovery and independent living.

Who is it for?
The service is available to individuals who are committed to continue abstaining from addictive and harmful substances and:
are in need of a safe environment in which to reside whilst either commencing on or receiving abstinence-based day treatment for addiction. Are in need of a safe environment in which to reside when starting or after having started abstinence-based addiction treatment programme
  OR
have completed an addiction treatment programme and require a safe environment in which to reside, to gain further confidence and stronger recovery prior to attaining independent housing. have completed an addiction treatment programme and require a safe environment in which to reside, to increase confidence and consolidate recovery prior to independent living.
